METRODASH

My First Fall After 3 Years of Wins — But Still One of My Best Derby Worlds Yet

After three years of consecutive wins in Growtopia’s contests, I entered this year’s Derby World Building Contest with high hopes and a bold new idea: METRODASH a fast-paced, underground metro themed derby world.

And for the first time in years… I didn’t make it.

No spot in the top 20. No winner’s shoutout. Just the quiet reality of not placing.

But here’s the thing, I’m still incredibly proud of METRODASH.

What is METRODASH?

METRODASH is a high-speed, adrenaline-filled derby race world designed to simulate a chaotic run through a futuristic metro system. Picture sprinting across train tracks, dodging obstacles, navigating towering structures, and jumping between platforms, all while the vibe of an electrified underground station pulses around you.

This world wasn’t just about the gameplay. It was about creating an experience. The rush, the timing, the theme. Everything was built to feel alive, moving, and immersive.

Why It Mattered

This world meant a lot to me because it was a step into something new . A fusion of intense platforming with a modern aesthetic. The idea was fresh. The concept was challenging. And even though it didn’t get picked, it reminded me why I build in the first place:

Not for the title.
Not for the prize.
But for the challenge, the thrill, and the community that sees it.

Losing After 3 Years — What It Taught Me

This was my first loss in a major contest after three consecutive winning years.

It stung, not because I felt entitled to win, but because I poured a lot of heart and effort into this build. But loss is part of growth. And if you always win, you stop evolving.

This moment taught me humility, resilience, and the importance of staying grounded even after years of success.

Reflection

METRODASH may not have won, but it’s far from a failure. It’s a reminder that even when you stumble, your journey as a creator continues. This world is still an achievement. It’s still mine. And to everyone who plays it, I hope you feel the rush I tried to build into every block and platform.

Sometimes the best builds don’t need a trophy, they just need someone to run through them, feel them, and remember them.

So go ahead, hop into METRODASH, and take a wild ride through the metro lines of my imagination. 🚇💨
